THE MOSUL DECISION.

TURKISH DELEGATE'S VIEW. " FORMS ONLY ONE PHASE." Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Becd. 8.5 p.m.) LONDON. Dec. 30. Tewfik Bey, the Turkish delegate to the recent meeting held by the Council of the League of Nations in regard to the Mosul dispute, has returned to Angora, the Turkish seat of Government. In a statement to the press regarding the Mosul decision Tewfik Bey described it as "forming only one phase of the negotiations which are yet to take place on this vital question." The statement is regarded as significant, as showing that the Government does not share the derisive attitude hitherto adopted by the Turkish press toward the tentative negotiations that have been put forward by Britain.
