BOY KICKED BY HORSE.

INJURIES TO THE HEAD. While taking a short-cut through a paddock on his way home from a beach yesterday afternoon Harold Downing, aged 13, was kicked on the head by a horse. The boy, who resides with his parents in Great North Road, New Lynn, was admitted to the Auckland Hospital last evening suffering from fairly severe 'injuries to the head. He was operated upon and at an early hour this morning his condition f\ras reported to be satisfactory.
