SECRETARY RESIGNS.
MR. VARNEY OF THE Y.M.C.A* [BY TELEGRAPH, —OWN COURESPONDICTT.] "WELLINGTON, Saturday. Mr. A. Yarney, who for the last 13 years has been associated with the Y.M.C.A in New Zealand, has resigned from the national secretaryship of that movement. It was toward the end of 1912 that Mr. Yarney, at the solicitation of the lata Mr. Alex Jameson, took up the general secretaryship of the Wellington Association in succession to Mr. H. Holmes. On his return from England, in 1917, he became one of the national secretaries of the movement, and _ has served the organisation in a national sens© since that time.
