READ THESE FIGURES: IN NEWARK HOSPITAL IN 1913 (LAST NON-PROHIBITION YEAR IN THE UNITED STATES) THERE WERE 357 ALCOHOLIC CASES. IN THE SAME HOSPITAL IN THE FIRST ELEVEN MONTHS OF 1922. (AFTER THREE YEARS OF PROHIBITION) THERE WERE 1518 ALCOHOLIC CASES. BEFORE PROHIBITION: 357 HOSPITAL ALCOHOLIC CASES. AFTER PROHIBITION: 1518 ALCOHOLIC CASES!
