WILKINS' EXPEDITION.
FINANCIAL ARRANGEMENTS. FUNDS FROM ADELAIDE. A. and N.Z. ADELAIDE, Oct.. 22. The treasurer of the South Australian branch of the Royal Geographical Society made a statement regarding the message from the explorer, Captain Wilkins, to the effect that he was awaiting funds with which to buy' Captain Amundsen's aeroplane, lie said that the society agreed at Captain Wilkins" request to act as treasurer for the expedition. Captain Wilkins appointed his own collector, and as funds were collected they were to bo cabled to Captain Wilkins. The collector had been waiting for the seamen's strike to end before commencing his work, but had now decided to begin operations this week. A sum of £BSO had been cabled to Captain Wilkins in the past few days. RECEIPT OF THE MONEY. WRONG ADDRESS-CAUSES DELAY. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 8.55 p.m.) LONDON, Oct. 21. Captain Wilkins has now received the money tvhich was cabled to him from Australia. It had been delayed owing to a wrong address.
