Each British Dominion was represented bv a garland for placing on the Trafalgar Memorial on the occasion of the 120 th anniversary of Trafalgar Day. Flowers from New Zealand. Australia and India, and a huge maple leaf from Canada, mingled with England's own tributes, literally smothered the lions and the base of the memorial. A notice was displayed stating that the .ship carrying the usual wreath in ice from Wellington, New Zealand, had been delayed owing to the shipping strike. A vase of flowers was substituted.
