ONE TREE HILL ROADS.
Sir, —I notice in to-day's issue of your paper that Mr. R. G. Clark, chairman of the One Tree Hill Road Board, has made; the statement that "A wrong impression appears to bo prevalent among the ratepayers as to the material which the board proposes, to use in laying down Great South Road, etc." He goes on to say that cement is actually used in the laying down of the asphaltic concrete which the board proposes to employ. This is entirely evading the point raised in my last letter to you. It may be true that some cement is used in the preparation of asphaltic concrete, but it is a very very small quantity and is only used as a filler. There is no doubt in my mind, that the information which has been published so far in connection with the Ono Tree Hill Road Board's proposals is misleading to the average individual. Ratepayer.
