Mr. M. Archer, of Wellington, is a I the Grand Hotel. Mr. Justice Reed will arrive from Welb ingt-on to-morrow. Mr. D. Macfarlane, of Wellington, ii at the Hotel Cargen. Mr. E. F. C. Hinds, of Christchurch, is at the Star Hotel. Mr. J. R. Delahunty, of Christ-church, Is at the Central Hotel. Mr. E. C. Huie, managing director of the Christchurch Sun, is on a visit td Auckland. Mr. J. P. Merritt and Mr. E. ShepDixon, of Wellington, and Mr. B. <■- Midgley, of Christchurch, arc at tha Royal. Hotel. Dr. L. Frazerhnrst, medical superintendent of the Bay of Islands Hospital, is! to succeed Dr. G. A. Forrest as medical superintendent at Palmerston North. During the past 15 years Dr. Frazerhurst has held appointments in various hospitals ot the Dominion. He served overseas. Among the passengers booked for Auck-j land by the Corinthic, which arrived all Wellington from Southampton yesterday, were Mr. and Mrs. C. Ansell, and Miss E. Ansell, tfie Rev. A. Partmar. and Mrs. Partman, Mrs. A. Studd and Miss Studd, and Miss E. Brown. The Rev. A. Partman has come out to enjoy some fishing in New Zealand waters. Mr. R. W. Dalton, His Majesty's Trade Commissioner in Australia, will leave Sydney for Wellington by the Tahiti on November 5. Mr. Dalton will attend the opening of the New Zealand and South Seas Exhibition at Dunedin as Acting-Commissioner-General for the United Kingdom section, owing to the postponement of the return to the Dominion of Mr. Noel Elrnslie, His Majesty's Trade Commissioner in New Zealand.
