MECCANO CLUB AWARDS.
HALF-YEARLY COMPETITION.
The final meeting of the Meccano Club was held on Wednesday evening. Mr. F. Wiseman presided over an attendance of 200 members.
In addressing the meeting on Westinghouse Brakes," Mr. J. F. Mackley', of the Railway Department, commented on the good work the club was doing. The models he had inspected showed a wonderful combination of genuine patience and skill, and New Zealand need have no fear for the future as far as engineers were concerned.
Prizes were awarded as follows for the half-yearly competition models : —Section 1 (seven to nine years) : S. Bailey, 1; 15. Strickett, 2: A. Carey, 3. Section 2 (ten to 12 years): G. Harper, 1; W. Pearee, 2- S Lvnes, 3. Section 3 (13 years and over): A. Lu.sk, 1; J. Wray, 2; H. Walker, 3.
