ANGRY INTERCHANGES.
QUEENSLAND LEGISLATORS. ' During the debate on supply in the Queensland Legislative Assembly lately, Mr. Bruce (Labour)s referring to the seamen's strike, said that during the war the seamen had risked their lives, but now members of the Opposition would not call them, comrades and shako them by the hand. Mr. Warren: Why didn't you go to the war ? You're an infernal humbug. The. Chairmen of Committees, Mr. Gladston, demanded a withdrawal from Mr. Warren, and this was given. Mr. Warren sat down, and could be heard mumbling, "You're a humbug all the same." Mr. Bruce remarked, "I'll show you I'm not a humbug." This caused Mr. Warren to jump up excitedly, and waving his hands, he exclaimed, "I'll have you on. Come on." At the same time he walked towards the back Opposition benches. Mr. Bruce pointed to the clock, and retorted that the time was yet early. Mr. Warren again challenged Mr. Bruce to come outside, but was ultimately prevailed upon to sit down. After the House adjourned Mr. Bruce approached Mr. Warren, and, after a conversation lasting several imnutea, both shook hands.
