EMPIRE RUGBY MEETINGS. SUGGESTION IN ENGLAND. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Heed. 5.5 p.m.) LONDON. Oct. 13. At a meeting of the Lond-m Society of Rugby Referees Mr. Rowland Hill, chairman. said that, in view of the unanimous recommendation of the. recent Imperial Conference that an Advisory Board should be set up, a meeting of representatives of the English Union and those of New Zealand, South Africa and New South Wales should be held annually in November or December. Notice of the matters to be discussed at those, meetings should be sent to the Dominions in order that their conclusions could he remitted to the English Union and ive brought before the annual meeting of the International Board in March. If the same code of laws did not exist throughout the Rugby world, the Dominions would drift awav. That would be a very great calamity to the game. NEW MOTORING RECORDS PARRY THOMAS THE DRIVER. (Received 5.5 p.m.) Renter. LONDON, Oct. 13, The motoring records established at Brooklands yesterday were made by Parry Thomas, who drove Captain Howey's car.
