NEW TYPE OF FLOUR.
PRODUCT OF SOYA BEAN. RUSSIAN CHEMISTS' DISCOVERY. A. and N.Z. LONDON. Oct. 13. It is reported that Russian chemists at Harbin have discovered a process for grinding and extracting oil from Soya, the result being a flour which cannot be distinguished from wheat flour. The new flour, it is said, can be produced at one-third the cost of ordinary flour. Vast areas in Manchuria are capable of Soya bean cultivation. The discovery is regarded a$ being of world-wide importance.
