THE OHINEMURI CONTEST.
j Sir, —Referring to the letter of " Old i Waihi Worker," re no Labour candidate ; opposing Mr. Poland and that it is the { easiest seat in New Zealand to capture for I Labour, I would like to ask him to carry j his miml 'back to the election -when Mr. IP. H. Hickev contested this seat to i wrest it from Mr, Poland and was defeated ! largely owing to the fact that he was j practically a stranger to the electors in ! the district. So if a Labour candidate is j nominated it must be a local man and ] ore well-known end I have in my mind j Mr. Parry, M.P., or Mr. R. Semple. Mr. I Parrv wiu of course stand for his present | electorate but Mr. Semple might be perI stiaded to contest the seat, against Mr. j p 0 i an d. Amalgam. j
