A TRANSPORT BUNG t, E. TERRIBLE MORTALITY RA"E. LONDON. Oct. 3. •■War Deeds of Horses," a" book just issued by Major-General Sir Layton Blenkinsop, Colonel Commandant of the Eoval Army Veterinary Corps, reveals that heavy losses oi horses were sustained in their transport from Australia to MarbCilics. On one boat, he says, out o! 600 aboard. 195 died. They were packed in an ill ventilated hold, standing on coal, which had not been changed from the previous voyage.
