CATHOLIC? BISHOPS' VIEWS, LONDON. Oct. 7. .A gathering of Roman Catholic bishops at Maynooth, Ireland, has issued a denunciation of dance-halls, in which if is stated that, compared villi the lascivious dances of London and Paris, the Irish jig and other national dances are decent. '•The latter," the pronouncement states, "do not produce degeneration. They involve such exertion that they cannot he danced for long hours. that is their strong commendation.
