A Junker demons!ration which occurred during the consecration of a. war memorial to the Augusta Regiment, has aroused the indignation of the .Republicans. General Sixt Yon Armm, in consecrating the memorial in the name of the exKaiser, said: "We think of him in reverential gratitude and u ichaugeaMe loyalty. The. supreme law for all of us is fidelity to the articles of war. " This day would be meaningless unless it strengthened us to work and fight tor the welfare of the Fatherland." General Von Arnim's outburst gained greater significance when President Mindenburg arrived and laid a wreath on the memorial, which was inscribed: r rom our bones an avenger*will arise." The President, in referring to the dead soldiers, said: Iheir blood will not have been shed in vain."
