ACCIDENTALLY SHOT.
HUNTING CAT AT NIGHT, PAPATOETOE RESIDENT'S FATE. BULLET WOUND IN HEAD, That he had gone into the garden to shoot a troublesome cat and that accidentally he had shot himself was the conclusion reached by Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., coroner, at the inquest yesterday concerning the death of Francis Edward Buckley, of Papatoetoe. He was a married man with a wife and two children. Evidence was given that the nnfortunate man'was found yesterday morning with a shot in his head and a pea nfie near-by. He got up during the night and went outside in his night attire with the intention of shooting a cat which, was a source of annoyance. Deceased was a ledgerkeeper employed by John Burn;; | and Company, Auckland. He was in good health, and there was nothing to show that death was other than accidental The coroner found that death had been brought about by an accident.
