Miller, did not attract a very large attendance. His challenge to throw a local wrestler in three tea-minute bouts was accepted by C. M. Brown, but the champion trained a fall in (he first bout. Ho also appeared in exhibition bouts with the local wrestler, T. Colledge. Miller was not in the beat of health, and was feeling the effect b of his travelling, but he gave a fine display, lie has strength, is very fast, an.d should be well worth seeing when he is tit again. In the match in which Miller undertook to throw Brown in three ten-minute bouts, the local man was the first to attack. Miller gained a further advantage with a half-nelson and straddled his opponent, who had difficulty in escaping. Then with a combination scissors and half-nelson Miller obtained a good fall, which gave him the match. In his bout with T. Colledge Miller obtained a scissors and arm lock, but after some good work on the mat, Colledge succeeded in breaking it.; Colledge escaped from a half-nelson and attacked, Miller countering with a wrist lock and scissors. The local man broke the hold hut the champion obtained another scissors and then a toe hold which won him the bout, Colledge being forced to give in. After this Miller demonstrated some of his favourite holds, among which was the one that defeated Jke Robin in Australia. Another exhibition bout with Colledge was then given. A match has been arranged between Miller and .Tawalla. The champion should be in the best of condition for the contest and ;;oo d wrestling is anticipated. A preliminary hist evening was the boys' match. Hill v. Campbell. Both were aggressive and Campbell showed a good turn of speed, but Hill was stronger and obtained falls in the first two bouts, thus winning the match. An exhibition match between J. Fulton, and T. Colledge produced some good wrestling. The contest throughout, was very fast and though in the two' last bouts Colledge held the advantage with scissor and body holds, he could not secure a fall. The result was a draw. Messrs. Bidmead and Wilson gave an exhibition of fumbling and demonstrated various falls
