THE AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION. SEASON TO OPEN ON NOVEMBER 7 The committee of the Auckland Cricket Association met last evening, Mr. I). V. Moore, presiding. Reports received on the condition of the pitches at the Domain and Victoria Park, stilted the grounds would not be suitable for play before November 7. Several members expressed the opinion that tbis would mean a. late opening. The opening of the season was fixed for Saturday, November 7. It was decided that entries for all grades should close on Friday. October 30 The Hobsonville Club submitted a nomination for a third grade team to play in assoeiation competition 3. MR. E. C. BEALE'S TEAM. MATCH AT KING'S COLLEGE. The following players will take part in a match against King's College at the college grounds, Middlemen?, this afternoon: K. C. Beale. W. CJ. Coates. Captain W. Ivory, J. A. Kallender, G. N. LeMay, M. J Moore. C. R. Nettleton. Lieut.-Colonel W. L. Robinson, J. N. Smith. H. Speake and Lieut.-Commander Wilniot-Sitwell.
