PAEROA HOSPITAL.
BUILDING TO BE WOOD. BOARD CONFIRMS DECISION. [BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION. ] THAMES, Tuesday. The Hospital Board has received a- communication from the Director-General regretting the decision to build a maternity hospital at Pacroa in wood. He asked the board to reconsider the decision and approve of a brick building. The chairman said his county, Hauraki Plains, which found 40 per cent, of the contributions, would agree to the extra capital expenditure. One member said the letter was practically a demand. Three local bodies backed up the board's decision, while other country members supported the Director-General. With a 50 per cent, majority the board decided to adhere to its previous resolution.
