ACCIDENTS IN SYDNEY.
FATALITIES ON HOLIDAY. SEVERAL MINOR MISHAPS. A. and N.Z. SYDNEY. Oct. 6. A number of accidents occurred on Eight-hour Day. At the Penrith speedway a competitor in a motor-cycle race lell heavily from his machine. He subsequently died. A competitor in another race fell from his machine: A spectator who rushed to his assistance was knocked down by a following cyclist and severely injured. Three motor-cars collided when they were rounding the bend. The occupants received minor injuries. Two men were sent to hospital, and two others were treated, as the result of a collision between two taxi-cabs in George Street. Four other men were injured as the result of motor accidents. At Palm Beach a boy fell over s 100 ft. cliff and was killed.
