PROHIBITION LECTURE.

VIEWS OF DR. VAN DER LAS. Dr. Richard A. Van dor Las, D.D., of Seattle, U.S.A., gave a lecture on Prohibition in America at the Kingsway Theatre, Grey Lynn last evening. There was a largo audience. Dr. Van der Las outlined the case for prohibition in America and spoke of many benefits it had brought. It had cleaned up vico and crime and promoted business and home-building. Many misstatements had been made, but for his part he was sure that prohibition had been an absolute blessing to America. Dr Van der Las will give a furthei lecture at the Town Ball concert chamber this evening. Mr. W. R. luck will pie side. _______
