A CIRCUS SENSATION.
ESCAPE OF TWO LIONS. ATTACK ON A PONY. A. and N.Z. SYDNEY. Sept. 15. Two lions escaped from a travelling circus on the Mitchell railway. The lions attacked and badly mauled a pony before the keeper appeared on the scene. Tho keeper courageously attacked the lions with an iron bar and a, claw hammer. After an exciting chase about the buildings the keeper succeeded in forcing both lions back to their cage.
