A communiquo issuo from Madrid states that General De Rivera visited Benikarrich and congratulated the defenders of Kudiatahar on their heroic stand particularly the outpost garrison of 22 the majority of whom wero killed or wounded. The remainder though worn out, held out against an incessant and furious attack. Patrols who wero sent out to the ravines near Kudiatahar found only corpses. Messages received in Paris from Fez slate that the French have occupied all their objectives on the Ouergha front. There is some talk of the imminence of a big push by the French and Spanish forces into thp heart of the enemy's country, though preparations are being made to render secure tho winter quartters for a number of newly arrived regiments. A report from Tangier states that on the Wezzau sector tho French troops repulsed the Riffs and then attacked the enemy, inflicting heavy casualties.
