MILK AND TUBERCULOSIS.

DOMINION ALMOST IMMUNE.

[Bl' TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] DUNEDIN. Tuesday.

Regarding an alarming statement with reference to milk and tuberculosis an official of the Public Health Department states that there is nothing, to justify it. A long series of tests at Auckland had revealed tuberculosis in milk in only two or three cases. The favourable position of the Dominion is due to the fact that cattle live more in the open; air than m other places, and there is no necessity to stall-feed them. He added that there was very litfie tuberculosis in New Zealand due to the bovine type of bacillus.
