NEW TAMAKI BRIDGE.

STRUCTURE N TO COST £25,000. SITE AT END OF AVENUE ROAD. * ' $1; :' A new concrete bridge is shortly to be erected by the Manukau Coutlty Council at the end of Avenue Road, to connect East Tamaki and Otahuhu. Information was received by the council yesterday from the Public Works Department that the plans,and specifications had been approved. The bridge will cost approximately £25,000. It is the intention of the council to proceed with the erection of the bridge immediately. Several other local bodies have been cited to contribute to the cost of construction.

The bridge will afford a route for stock going to Westfield from districts south of Otahuhu.
