The Governor-General was welcomed by a large gathering of citizens this morning. Sir Charles Fergusson attended a Victoria League reception, lunched with tho Rotary Club and afterwards attended a parado of returned soldiers, veterans and cadets. He presented the Imperial Challenge Shield to tho Technical College cadets and the Christchurch Press Shield to tho High School cadets.
