COUNTY COUNCIL'S TRIBUTE. [Br TELEGRAPH.— OWN CORRESPONDENT.'] THAMES. Saturday. At a meeting of the Thames' County Council the chairman, Mr. Henry Lowe, paid a tribute to Mr. B. -A. Franklin; recently promoted to senior health in-, spector at Auckland. Mr. Lowe said he was glad of the opportunity to express appreciation of Mr. "Franklin's splendid' service in the interest of health coiaserva- . tion during his 14 years' residence in.. Thames. When the borough sanitary* ' and drainage scheme was first proposed"' Mr. Franklin had worked untiringly' to further the project, and had given very great and material assistance in arranging for a large monetary, con- ; tribution from the Health Department at - the very low interest rate, of per. centj He moved that Mr. Franklin's services ■ to the county as health inspector be ■ placed on record, and that a letter of appreciation be forwarded to him.' This was carried unanimously.
