[I)Y TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WIIANGAIiEI. Thursday. At a meeting of tho Whangarci Chamber of Commerce last night Mr. A. 11. Crane moved that those present were of opinion that the establishment of an experimental area in Whangarei for the testing of sub-tropical fruits would bo of great valuo to tho district and the Dominion as a whole, and that the director of the horticultural division of tho Department of Agriculture bo requested to do all in his power to further the object. The motion was carried unanimously.
