RESTORATION OF SENIORITY

NEW SOUTH WALES DECISION

A. and N.Z. SYDNEY. July 16. Tho Frontier of New South Wales, Mr. J. T. Lang, has instructed tho Railway Commissioners to restore the seniority of the men who were disrated as a result of tho great railway and tramway strike in 1917. The loyal workers who obtained promotion through the disrating of the strikers, and who will now be reduced in rank again in order to restore tho seniority which existed before the strike, will continue to receive their present rate of pay. The State Government will reimburse tho commissioners for the extra cosT involved. This wili run into a large sum.
