NEW RAILWAY TARIFF.
LOCAL BODIES' INTERESTS.

Iho president of the Counties' Association, Mr. Jull, states that proposals in tho new railway tariff concerning increased freights on road metal for local bodies will form tho subject of discussion between tho Railway Board and the executive of tho Counties' Association on Tuesday. A feature in the tariff is a much greator increase on the haulage of road metal for its use on roads competing with the railway.
