NEW REPAIR CHARGE PLAN.

Should the car-owner have to pay fo"r "go slow" methods in the repair garage? The Ford people say "No." They do not see why motorists should be charged so much per hour on the time taken on the job irrespective of whether a fast or slow mechanic is undertaking the work. In bupport of this contention, Ford repair chops throughout Now Zealand now operate on a new flat rate labour charge plan. By this method a fair price has been definitely fixed for each repair or combination of repairs to the car, truck or tractor. In other words the owner knows in advance the amount he will require to pay on each particular repair. From the car-owners' point of view this scheme is certainly a big improvement on previous repair operations.
