THE SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP;
GAMES AT BLANDFORD PARK.
BRIGHT CONTESTS EXPECTED.
The eighth series of matches in the Auckland Football Association's senior competition will be played this afternoon. At Blandford Park the principal contests will be decided, when Northcote meet Thistle at 1.30 and Hellaby's try conclusions with Ponsonby at 3 o'clock. Both should be games well worth watching. Tramways will travel to Devonport, whore they are pitted against lloyal Navy on the Calliope Dock ground. This will also provide an interesting contest as both elevens are very strong. On the Auckland Domain, Watersiders are to meet Y.M.C.A., a match that is sure to draw a large crowd of spectators as both clubs have a large following of supporters. The junior competitions will be advanced another stage on various grounds as published in the Hee.vld 011 Wednesday.
