INDEPENDENT RECHABITES
INSTALLATION CEREMONY. ! . —~— The joint installation of officers of the Various tents in Auckland of the Independent Order of Rechabites took place on Wednesday evening in the Methodist schoolroom, Great North Road. The District Chief Ruler, Mr. H. J. Baker, presided, and officers vera present from Hope of Auckland, Waitemata, Onefcnriga, Hope of Eden, New Lynn, Devonport and Romuera tents. The obligation charges to the officers elect wore delivered by Messrs, H. Campling, P.D.C.8., A. Jenkin, P.D.C.R, U. F. Day, P.D.C.R., and Baker. Mr. R. H. Gilmour acted as installing levite. The musical portion of the programme was arranged by Mr. H. Turner. Tho society recently amended its rules, making provision for the payment of all benefits from date of initiation, the amendments having been approved for registration. The district officers and members will proceed to -Otahuhu next Thursday to open a tent of the order in that district. This will be the second tent opened 'this year. ■■■ j. .
