NEW ZEALAND AWARDS. MR. J. NIXON'S GOOD RECORD. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 1.5 a.m.) SYDNEY" July 2. The annual sheep show opened in Sydney to-day. Although there were fewer entries than last year tho quality of the exhibits was declared by the judges to bo superior to those at any previous show. New Zealand was well represented in Border Leicester and other English breeds. Dominion awards were:— Border Leicesters: Ram, two years and over, J. Nixon, 2; ram, over one year and under two, J. Nixon, 1 and 3; ram, under one year, J. Nixon, 2 and 3; ewe, over one year and under two, W. 0. Rennie, 3; ewe, under one year, J. Nixon, 1; pens of two rams, under one year, J. Nixon, 2; pens of two ewes, under one year, J. Nixon, 1 and 3. English Leicesters.—Ram, two years and over, J. Nixon, 1; ewe, two years and over, J. Nixon, 1; ewe, over one year and under two, J. Nixon, 1; ram, two years and over, J. Nixon, 1. Mi'. Nixon was also awarded the championship for an English Leicester ram and ewe.
