The Legislative Assembly passed a voto bf confidence in the new Prime Minister, General Pangalos, by 185 votes to 14.A number of speakers protested against ft militarist rule and indicated that they only intended to vote in order to prevent further violence. General Fangalos made a speech which (was innocuous and very brief. The ex-Frime Minister, M. Michalopoulos, did not attend the sitting. Ho has Issued a communique condemning General Fangalos' methods and declaring that ho Will continue to fight for the people» liberties and for Parliamentary rule.
