THE AMERICAN FLEET.

Sir—As duly appointed representative of the Seventh-Day Adventist Churches in the City of Auckland, I most respectfully request that during the stay of the American Fleet in our harbour, in all the festivities in honour of the fleet, no intoxicating liquor be supplied to tho officers or men, and that we, as Christian citizens and fellow-patriots, honour the grand and glorious traditions of that great nation whose high destiny places her in the vanguard of nations. _ We with our fellow-churchmen of this city wish to placo ourselves on record and stand shoulder to shoulder with tho nation that helped us during the late war. Pastor L. Cmmow.
