LONDON MARKET ADVICES. BUTTER FROM 164s TO 1665. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having received the following cablegram from their London house dated May 28:— The butter market is steady but quiet. We quote:—New Zealand, salted 1655. exceptional brands 168s; - Danish butter, 182s; finest Australian, salted 1565,' unsalted 160s. The cheese market is somewhat steadier. New Zealand, white 91s, coloured 925; Canadian, c.i.f., 87s. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency CofnpanV's report, dated London, May 28, states -—Butter: New Zealand, choicest salted, 164s to 166s per cwt; choicest unsalted, 174s to 1765. The market is quiet. Cheese, 90s to 92s per cwt. The market is slow. Mr. W. W. Bowkcr's advice from A. ,T. Mills and Company, Limited. London, dated May 28, states* the butter market is quiet. * First grade, salted, 164s to 1665; unsalted, 174s to 1765. Stocks are heavy, but only small quantities are offering. The cheese market is firm. First grade, white, 925; coloured, 91s to 925. Norden and Company, Limited, received the following report from Andrew Clement and Sons, Limited, London, for the week ending May 28:—-New Zealand butter: The market is quiet at 164s to 1655 ; for salted and 176s for unsalted. New Zealand cheese: The market is steady at 91s to 92s after touching 90s for white and coloured.
