MURDER OF HER LOVER. IMPRISONMENT FOR LIFE. A. and N.Z. LONDON. May 1. The death sentence passed on the girl. Catherine Thorpe, on April I, at the Leeds Assizes, for the murder of her lover, who was a pianist in a jazz hand, has been commuted to imprisonment for life.
