LONG VOYAGE IN SLOOP. LEAVES BRITISH COLUMBIA. A. and N.Z. O'ITAWA. May J. A message from Victoria, British Columbia, states that Commander Eustace Maude, U.N., aged 77, has commenced a voyage to England in a 25ft. sloop. Ho has arrived at Victoria en route to the open sea. Panama will be his next port of call. The aged adventurer will not sight land until he reaches the. canal. He takes provisions for 100 days and expects to make the canal in 60 days. He has 50 gallons of water and the same quantity of gasoline aboard his vessel, the Half Moon, which has a 5 horse-power engine.
