An article on gland treatment is published in the Weekly Despatch. 11. states that those who are aware of the amazing results the treatment is daily producing befieve. with good reason that ugliness will soon be regarded as a disease which can be as easily cured as measles or tonsilitis. The writer gives an instance of a baby girl who is the heiress to her aristocratic parents' large fortune. The child, lie says, was born with a repulsively ug!v, bloated, and misshapen face, with swollen, protruding lips, a prizefighter's nose, and Mongolian eyes. The* parents were ashamed 'if the child and kept I'.or in seclusion. They consulted a doctor, who iealised that the infant was suffering from glandular deficiencies. He gave simple treatment to certain glands and this resulted in a complete t rartsformat ion. The child is now her parents' pride and joy.
