MINISTERS' MOVEMENTS.
i The Hon. G. J. Anderson, Minister for Labour and Marine, and Acting-Minister for Industries and Commerce, will inspect the Chelsea Sugar Works this morning. In the afternoon he will visit Messrs. Alex. Harvey and Son's factory at King's Drive, and the Kauri Timber Company's mill in Fanshawe Street. The Minister will leave by the Main Trunk express for Te Kuiti in tho evening, and will proceed to New Plymouth on Tuesday to inspect the Taranaki oilfields. The Minister for Lands, the Hon. A.D. McLeod, arrived at Stratford from Kaponga on Friday evening, and was accorded a civic reception at the Municipal Chambers, the Mayor, Mr. McMillan, presiding over a large attendance.'- Later the Minister met a number of deputations with reference to district needs, particularly back-blocks deterioration. The party left Stratford next morning for • the Whangamomona district, proceeding a-3 far as the Rerekapa block, beyond Tahora. Deputations waited upon the Minister later in the day at Whangamomona. The Minister returned to Stratford yesterday and will visit the Eltham district,
