ROYAL SOCIETY HONOUR. MEMBERSHIP RECOMMENDED. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 0.5 p.m.) LONDON, Feb. 20. Dr. 1!, ,1. Tiil.vard, biologist, of the Cawthron Institute, New Zealand, has been recommended by the council of the Royal Society for election to membership. Dr. Tillyard has been chief of the biological department of the Cawthron Institute, Nelson, since 1919. He had a distinguished scholastic career, taking the M.A. and D.Sc. degrees at- Cambridge University. He was the winner of the Crisp award and medal of the Linnean Society of London in 1917. Dr. 'J illyard represented the New Zealand (lovernment at the Imperial Conference of Entomology in 1920.
