The Prime Minister, Mr. Stanley Baldwin, was asked in the. House of (.'ominous to-day whether he would consider changing the official designations, "Secretary of State for the Colonies" ' and " Colonial Department " to " Secretary for Imperial Affairs " and " Imperial Oflice " respectively. Mr. Baldwin replied that the question of some change of the kind suggested was under his consideration. The Daily Express recalls h< declaration made by a former Agent-General for New South Wales during the war, to the effect flint the very name, "Colonial Office," was out. of date. The paper hints that the Secretary of State for the ('olonies may be styled "Secretary lor the Overseas Dominions."
