THE ROTORUA SHOW.

HIGH QUALITY EXHIBITS.

DISPLAY OF FIELD PRODUCE. EPIDEMIC AFFECTS ATTENDANCE. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] ROTOEUA. Friday. The Rotorua A. and P. Annual Show was held to-day. The morning broke fine but in the afternoon the weather was cold and showery. Lateen the afternoon heavy rain fell, and marred the pleasure of those present. There was a very meagre attendance, the infantile paralysis restrictions having a marked effect on the event. The cattle, classes were not so well represented as usual, and were practically confined to Jerseys and Ayrshires. The quality of those penned was excellent. The Judges noticed a marked improvement in the sheep classes, as compared with the previous year, and said that the exhibits were really fine. Most of the well-known Waikato Lacks and hunters were represented in tiie horse classes, and some interesting jumping competitions were witnessed. Rotorua, maintained its high reputation in its exhibition of field produce. The roots and fodder staged were of exceptional quality. A pleasing feature of the indoor entries was the well-coloured apples and stone fruit exhibited. Flowers were also shown to advantage.
