The Xew Zealand Racing Conference has been officially aa\"ised of the aliot-i ment of the new totalisator Licenses, la his letter to the conference, the Minuter says that tho Waipapakauri. Franklin,. Matamata, Wairnarino, Waiapu, and Motueka Cinbs have been informed tliat before the licenses to those clubs will ba issued it will be necessary for them tar provide properly-constructed racecourses and suitable appointments, the racecourses to be preferably a mile or more in cir-f cumference, but not less than seven fur-* longs, a chain wide throughout, folly; railed, with the regulation rail on .the inside, properly graded, and made reason* ably safe for horses and riders. Tho ap-< pointments are to include sanitary ac-< eommodation for both sexes in the inside enclosure and outside, an adequate totai lisator house, jockeys' room, with lockers* weighing-in room, a room for officials* and an ambulance room with equipment*
