CRITICISM BY BISHOP. VALUE OF MEDICAL SCIENCE. LONDON. Feb. 3. Crude literalism characterises Mr. J. M. Hickson's reading of the New Testament, said the Bishop of Durham, Dr. Henson, preaching in Manchester. " Mr. Hickson believes that he is reproducing Christ's ministry," continued Dr. Henson, "but he has not yet raised the dead. From hia assertions, he seems to believe that he could. " Faith-healing is common to all religions. There is nothing especially Christian about it, except its work, and actions. " Surely, the true healing of Christ' has found a majestic, unfaltering movejnent in medical science rather than in the sporadic fervour of faith-healers*"
