CLYDEBANK EVICTIONS.
RESISTANCE BY TENANTS. SCALDING WATER THROWN. A. ,nmi N.Z. LONDON. Fob. 17. Sheriffs officers, with the assistance of large numbers of police, eflect.ed tho eviction of six more tenants at Clydebank to-day. During the mehe which ensued three men were arrested. At some, of the houses barricades had been erected, and chains were used to prevent the entry of the constituted authorities. The sheriff's officers had to encounter scalding water thrown from the houses, and large quantities of nails were among the missiles used.
