KENTUCKY FATALITY.

—♦ VICTIM LEFT UNDISTURBED. CAVERN TOMB SEALED UP,, Australian and .N.Z. Cable Association, (Reed. 0.5 p.m.) NEW YORK. Feb. 17. The remains of the explorer, Mr. Floyd Collins, arc to be left undisturbed in the. cavern at Cave City, Kentucky, in which he was entombed. All attempts to recover hi a body from the cave have been abandoned. Tho shaft which the rescuers sank from the surface is to bo filled with rocks and sealed with cement. The operations will bo completed as soon as possible. Ihe original entrance has been sufficiently scaled by tho cave-in which barred the rescuers. These steps aro being taken to prevent other venturesome explorers from' entering the cavern. Before efforts to recover Mr. Collins' body were abandoned a doctor examined him to establish positive identification. A coroner and a jury descended into the pit and returned an official verdict. A funeral service was held on the brow of tho cliff. The combined choirs from all the churches in Cave City chanted a hymn, and then Mr. Collins' remains were left for ever entombed. Tho parents of deceased's fiancee are distraught with grief because the victim was imprisoned in the cave on tho date, whid) had been fixed for his marriage to their daughter.
