fremantle union fined. INSTRUCTIONS NOT OBEYED, A. ami N.Z. PERTH. Feb. 38 The secretary of the Fremantle Wharf Labourers' Union stated to-day that, the union had been fined £IOOO by the, Management Committer at Melbourne in consequence of the refusal by local unionists to work certain vessels chartered by the Commonwealth Line, lie added that the Adelaide branch had been fined £2OOO for a similar reason. Local unionists fear that if they refuse to pay tho fine tho Management Committee will declare Fremantle " black," in which caso no goods would be loaded for that port.
